Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston has pleaded with the paparazzi to stop following her, saying she is never sure if she's being stalked by a photographer or a crazy armed fan.

Aniston says she is shocked with the amount of attention she has received after her break-up with Brad Pitt, reports Hollywood.com.

She begged the photographers to respect her privacy, saying she might become a nervous wreck.

"It's reached an awful level. They really need boundaries and it's a really tricky thing because there are so many people saying, 'You're a public figure, you deserve it, you ask for it'. But nobody asks for that type of intrusion."

She added: "But when somebody's following you in a car and you don't know if they're crazy fan with a gun in their hand or they're paparazzo, that same fear goes with you."
