Tom Cruise's former wife Nicole Kidman will not attend his wedding with Katie Holmes despite reports that she would be guest of honour.

A spokesperson said: "I'd be surprised (if she would attend). I'd say it's not on the cards," reports Hollywood.com.

It was rumoured that Cruise badly wanted his ex-wife at the ceremony to show their children that he and Kidman could still be good friends and parents.

But a representative for the Oscar winning actress said she has chosen to snub the wedding.

Kidman initially had expressed doubts about the genuineness of the Cruise-Holmes romance saying it could all be a publicity stunt.
