Movie legend and Oscar winning actor Michael Caine says Katie Holmes' height could pose a threat to her engagement to Tom Cruise.

Caine said the height difference between Cruise and Holmes is a bigger threat to their relationship than the 17-year age gap, according to the Internet Movie Database.

Caine pointed out that Cruise's relationships with taller women seemed to be doomed. He gave the example of Nicole Kidman whom he divorced in 2000.

He also spoke about the transformation of Katie Holmes from the time he worked with her in "Batman Begins".

He said: "I remember Katie as a quiet little girl who wouldn't say boo to a goose. Obviously some metamorphosis has gone on there. I keep hearing she is going to be the next Mrs. Tom Cruise - she's a bit on the tall side."
