Actress Angelina Jolie's newly adopted Ethiopian daughter Zahara has been released from hospital after being treated for dehydration and malnutrition, People magazine
reported.
Zahara was in a New York hospital for a week.
Paediatrician Jane Aronson said: "Jolie has been wonderful, the baby is doing great. And most importantly they have bonded."
Jolie also corrected a recent tabloid report that showed a photograph of a woman who identified herself as Zahara's grandmother. The organization through which Jolie
adopted the baby said: "The photo is not the woman who they claim it is and the quotes are fabricated."
A spokesperson for the organization called Wide Horizons added: "Due to devastation by war, drought and HIV almost two million children are currently orphaned in Ethiopia
and many are being cared for by members of their extended family and community."
