Ricky Gervais, described by Madonna as the funniest man on the planet, wants Clint Eastwood and Sylvester Stallone to appear on his new show called "The Extras".

The award winning writer and actor of the acclaimed show "The Office" says he intends to ask both the stars when he meets them at the Emmys.

According to The Sun, Gervais said: "I'd love to get an icon such as Clint Eastwood."

The other actors who have agreed to sign on to this highly-anticipated project are Oscar-nominated actress Kate Winslet and the comic Ben Stiller.
