Kevin Costner and Jennifer Aniston have put their sequel to the 1967 classic "The Graduate" into high gear in a bid to get the movie, "Rumour Has It", into theatres by the year-end.

The comedy, directed by Rob Reiner, features "Friends" star Aniston as a newspaper obituary writer who discovers from millionaire Costner that her family was the model for "The Graduate", in which her mother, played by Shirley MacLaine, had a love affair with a college student, said the television show Entertainment Tonight.

This leads Aniston, on the eve of her marriage, to wonder who her real father is.
