A photographer accused of trying to blackmail Hollywood superstar Cameron Diaz with topless photos has been found guilty and now faces six years in jail, according to
EOnline.
After a two-week trial, a jury Monday found John Rutter, 42, guilty of forgery, perjury and attempted grand theft. He will be sentenced Sep 15.
The case revolves around a set of topless photos that Rutter took of Diaz when she was an aspiring 19-year-old model in 1992. Rutter resurfaced with the photos last year
and offered to sell them to Diaz for $3.5 million.
Rutter claimed Diaz has signed a release form that allowed him to take the photos public, but prosecutors argued that Rutter had forged the star's signature.
