Teri Hatcher, the star of "Desperate Housewives", is dishing out free advice and inspiration to her female fans in a new book.

According to the Internet Movie Database, the actress plans to share a few of the lessons she herself learnt in a book called "Burnt Toast".

She said: "I have had many women approach me, sharing their own stories, and ask me how it feels to have a second chance at 40. With this book, I truly hope to reach everyone that I don't bump into on the street and share my story."

Hatcher is enjoying a resurgence of sorts after being unknown for quite a few years since her appearance in a Bond movie.
