Oscar winner Joe Pesci's former wife, Claudia 'Marty' Haro, has been arrested for attempted murder after a hit man allegedly hired by her shot at her stuntman husband Garrett Warren.

According to the National Inquirer, Haro is suspected of hiring a person to kill Warren, but he failed despite shooting him four times. She was later arrested in connection with the shooting.

The apparent dispute between Haro and Warren seems to be over their daughter Kyla.

Authorities are now searching for more evidence against Haro. The sheriff's department spokesperson says, "The charges have not been dropped against Ms. Haro, but more information is needed to proceed in this case. Ms. Haro could be re-arrested at any time."

Even though Pesci and Haro divorced in 1992, he seems to have taken the news of her arrest pretty badly. A source reveals, "Joe is devastated. He knows Haro is not capable of hurting anyone and certainly wouldn't know how to arrange a hit. Joe says he'll do whatever he has to do to help her out of this mess, even testify in court."
