Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has credited his mother Irmelin for always supporting his dreams of becoming an actor.
The 39-year-old actor said his mother encouraged him to pursue his dreams, reported Contactmusic. "I wouldn't be doing any of this if it weren't for her, both my parents.
She supported this little kid who said, 'I want to be an actor,' at 12 years old, which is ridiculous, and she drove me to all these auditions. She's the only reason I'm able to do what I do," DiCaprio said.
The actor won the trophy for best actor in a musical or comedy film for his role as a hedonistic broker in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' at the 71st annual Golden Globe Awards.
