Scottish actor Ewan McGregor shouted at a journalist who picked on the actor's American accent in the recent movie "The Island".

According to The Daily Mirror, when a journalist asked him about his poor performance as an American in the movie, McGregor was furious and replied he had "no plans to abandon the accent".

Not able to leave things as they were, he later stormed back to the journalist and shouted, "Thank you for bringing that up - you've ruined my evening" and then walked away. The journalist was then apparently asked to leave the place and has been banned from all future screenings.

A spokesperson for the actor later said, "There had been an unfounded criticism made to Ewan by an agency reporter, to which Ewan politely replied that he was sorry she'd asked that question as it had taken the shine off his night. To our knowledge no one was asked to leave and it has been resolved amicably."
