Oscar winning director James Cameron is being sued by an Australian couple for allegedly stealing their idea to create the hit movie "Terminator 2: Judgment Day".
According to Hollywood.com, the couple Filia and Constantinos Kourtis say they were the ones who created the character for their own film "The Minotaur" in 1987. They
add Cameron stole the idea for "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" from them after seeing the production.
The couple's attempt to file a suit against the director was turned down by the Los Angeles district court since their screenwriter William Green had tried to do the same and
lost. But a three-judge deferral appeals court has now said the couple is "free to pursue their copyright infringement claim... because they were neither parties to the Green
case nor in privity with a party".
