Actor Christopher Walken suddenly found himself caught in the midst of reports that he plans to run for president of the US.

According to Internet Movie Database, the actor plays a member of the White House in the recent comedy "Wedding Crashers" and rumours began swirling that he was keen to run for president. A website has even been set up for the campaign.

But a spokesperson for the actor rebuffed these claims saying, "It's one-hundred percent not true. (It) sounds like someone got a little too excited over his role as secretary of the treasury in 'Wedding Crashers' and now they want to make him president."
