Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan says he has a new perspective on fame and fortune since the death of his daughter.
Brosnan, 60, said he appreciates his home life away from crazy Hollywood, reported Daily Express. "Fame comes and goes, it's a double-edged sword. As a young actor I desperately wanted to be famous and appear in films which I achieved.
But you can't hold on to fame, you always have to ask yourself, 'How would I cope without it? And I would cope!," he said. Brosnan said his inner strength has always been tested following the death of his first wife Cassandra Harris in 1991 after battling ovarian cancer and the loss of his adopted daughter Charlotte last year to the same illness.
"My faith has always helped me. I'm Catholic. That's all you have left when your heart is just a dark hole at four in the morning and you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. No one can escape life's pain. That's life," he added.
