Actor Leonardo DiCaprio says his movie "The Wolf of Wall Street" was like an organised chaos.

The 39-year-old says director Martin Scorsese created the organised chaos deliberately to help the cast explore their characters more, reports contactmusic.com.

"Martin Scorsese really created this set in a really specific way, it was like organised chaos. So, we were all kind of living in a giant bosch painting," said DiCaprio.

"It was like the modern day Roman empire...we wanted to make a portrait of our culture today. So, it's really thanks to him and this character really took on the life of its own," he added.

DiCaprio has been nominated in the best actor in a leading role category at the 86th Academy Awards and will be up against Matthew McConaughey, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Christian Bale and Bruce Dern.
