The supposedly fabulous love story between Sean Penn and Charlize Theron seems to have hit the skids

Charlize Theron's closest friends appears to have been right. According to grapevine, they had warned her that Sean Penn (53) isn't exactly the guy that she should put a lot of trust in.

And if the South African actress was giving him the benefit of the doubt, that little bit of grace came to an abrupt halt last weekend after photographs of Sean and the much younger Adele Exarchopoulos (20) turned up online.

Sean was clicked having lunch in Paris with the French actress and it wasn't all business either.

After divorcing actress Robin Wright - his wife of 14 years - Sean eventually entered into a relationship with Charlize.
