Director Joss Whedon has apologised to the people of South Korea for potential trouble caused by shooting a portion of `Avengers: Age of Ultron` in Seoul.

Production on the `Avengers` sequel will see some major sequences shot in Seoul, in addition to separate production work being done in South Africa and Britain.

Whedon recently released a video message to citizens of Seoul to explain why certain temporary disruptions in their lives might take place, reports digitalspy.co.uk.

"I'm really grateful and excited to be filming in your city," the filmmaker said in a message that was subtitled in Korean for its local audience.

He continued: "We are going to mess it up and inconvenience some people... I know what that's like - I live in Los Angeles, and it happens to me all the time. And it's not fun. I hope it will be worth it... We love this movie. We love this city."
