Irish rock band U2's 1987 album "The Joshua Tree" is among 25 recordings to be added to the US Library of Congress's National Recording Registry.
It is considered `culturally, historically or aesthetically significant`, reports dailystar.co.uk.
Also in the list is "The Laughing Song" by George Washington Johnson - the first African-American to record commercial music, in 1896.
U2 was formed in 1976. Its lead singer is Bono.
