Meryl Streep has admitted that she thought she was too "ugly to be an actress". During her honorary doctoral degree acceptance speech at Indiana University, the 64-year-old said though she was always in plays, she thought it was vain to be an actress, E! Online reported.
The Oscar winner continued saying that the reason she has a career at her age is because she achieved success in her life later, when she was 40.
Giving advice to young women, Streep said that she used to hate her nose, but not anymore and girls shouldn't bother about their weight so much as there are better things in life, and that the thing that makes them different or weird is their strength.
