She's been through a whirlwind of lifestyle changes in the past year alone, including an alteration in management and a change in attitude - accepting a role in reality television.

Now, Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue has said that despite remaining a romantic at heart she is simply too busy to focus on love.

The 45-year-old recently split with her long-time beau, Spanish model Andres Velencoso, after a five-year relationship, but admittedly the pair still keep in touch.

"I've dealt with most of the sadness. I couldn't say all of the sadness, but the tears and the crying and everything - that's done."

The host of The Voice Australia admitted it was strange when she remembered that she was not single when she wrote her latest number, Kiss Me Once, which now leaves her wondering who the lyrics will soon be directed to in her mind.

Despite the recent heartbreak she is excited to move on, "I guess there are moments of excitement, thinking, 'Who will I meet?' But actually, unless it's in my schedule it's probably not going to happen right now because I'm just so busy," Minogue added.
