Josh Hartnett has revealed that he turned down the chance to play not one but three major superheroes - Superman, Batman and Spider-Man.
The 35-year-old actor confessed to Details magazine that though he felt that the roles had the potential to define him, and he was indeed approached to don all three superhero suits, he turned down them down as he didn't want to be tagged as Superman for the rest of his career, Metro.co.uk reported.
The decision even resulted in his agent parting ways with him, as they had reached a point where they couldn't work together, he added.
The 'Pearl Harbor' star also said that he was uncomfortable with the limelight and hence had gone back home to Minnesota to his family and friends and didn't shoot for 18 months.
