Katy Perry has been sued by Christian rap star Flame after he claimed that the singer stole his song Joyful Noise in Dark Horse. In Perry's Dark Horse video she refers to the Ancient Egyptians and has been quoted as saying that the track was inspired by witchcraft film The Craft, with the song written from a witch's point of view.
According to the buzz, Joyful Noise had been irreparably tarnished by its association with the witchcraft, paganism, black magic, and Illuminati imagery evoked by the same music in Dark Horse.
The 29-year-old singer had said that Dark Horse was about warning a guy that if he is going to fall in love with her, then he needs to be sure or else it was going to be his last.
Flame and four other musicians want Perry to pay them unspecified damages, and are seeking an immediate ban on her for using their music.
