American singer Nicole Scherzinger is set to make her West End theatre debut in a revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical `Cats`.
The 36-year-old star will play Grizabella, the 'glamour cat', in the limited-run revival of the show, reports hellomagazine.com.
"I am really thrilled to be making my West End debut in such an iconic show," she said.
"I grew up listening to Andrew's extraordinary music and was lucky enough a couple of years ago to record Cats' beautiful song 'Memory',` she added.
The show, which is based on T.S. Eliot's "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats", will run for 12 weeks from Dec 6.
"Andrew's score is breathtaking and I am truly honoured to have been asked to take part in what I know will be a very special time in my career. I can't wait to begin rehearsals," Scherzinger said.
The musical first opened in 1981 at the New London Theatre and ran for 21 years. It opened in Broadway in 1983 where it ran for 18 years.
Scherzinger was previously a member of the Pussycat Dolls, before moving on to a solo career and appearing as a judge on show `The X Factor`.
