TV presenter and model Alexa Chung says her beauty routine is inspired by the `Sex and the City` character Carrie Bradshaw.

Chung is influenced by the eccentric style of Carrie, played by Sarah Jessica Parker in the hit show. She has confessed that she only began taking care of her body after watching an episode of the show in which Carrie applied copious amounts of body lotion, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Talking to InStyle magazine, she said: "I never used to moisturise my body until I saw Carrie Bradshaw do it on 'Sex and the City'."

The 30-year-old star also said that she worries about her face's moisture levels and so, she steers clear of powder-based cosmetics as a result.

"I don't like powder blush because I'm paranoid that if you rub powder into your face, it'll get drier and drier. Stila's cream blush has a subtle sheer texture,` she said.
