Actress Kate Hudson and musician Matthew Bellamy have called off their engagement.

`Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now. Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents," people.com quoted Bellamy's representative as saying.

The now estranged couple welcomed a baby boy named Bingham Bellamy in July 2011, just three months after getting engaged.

The `Bride Wars` actress has another son from her first marriage to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson. The duo split in November 2006 after tying the knot in December 2000.
