Actor Johnny Depp plans to visit an 11-year-old boy who is suffering from a rare brain disease.
The 51-year-old actor sent Jed Baker, who is suffering from Moyamoya, which constricts the blood vessels in his brain, a get well soon message.
Depp also said it wouldn't be a problem to meet up with child, who loves watching the Hollywood star play Captain Jack Sparrow in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.
Asked if he would meet the youngster at the fifth "Pirates..." film's Gold Coast set in Australia, just two hours away from Baker's home in north Queensland, Depp said: "Absolutely. It's easy. Get well soon, brother."
After hearing Depp's comments, Baker, who suffered a stroke when he was just 11 months old, was so thrilled he went into a "pirate frenzy" and couldn't stop watching the footage.
"(He) watched it four times in a row and went into a pirate frenzy so far that I had to draw a mascara moustache on him that he refused to wash off," his mother Nicole Baker told Daily Mail Australia.
Depp will no doubt be impressed to hear that Baker has made his own replica Black Pearl pirate ship, and the youngster has his mother to thank for starting a social media campaign to help her son to meet his idol, and members of the group started the hashtag: #piratejedtomeetpiratejack.
"We spent hours watching Jack Sparrow, Jed has always been very fixated on pirates. He believes in his mind that he is Jack Sparrow. He has a Black Pearl and he can sit on it and it has Captain Jed written on it.
"I started the Facebook page because of the announcement that the 'Pirates' franchise was going to be filming two hours away from my house. I try to make magic happen for my kids wherever I can and I thought, 'His idol is going to be right on my doorstep, I have to grab this opportunity with two hands'," she added.
