Actor Leonardo DiCaprio's bushy beard raised several questions. All the queries regarding the rugged look were answered with the first look of his upcoming film `The Revenant`.

Photographs of the movie, which were released Saturday, shows the 40-year-old with the heavy beard, reports dailymail.co.uk.

In the newly released first look at the film, DiCaprio seems locked in on his prey as he holds a rifle in the darkly lit photograph. The actor also looks grungy and worn out, while sporting the bushy beard.

`The Revenant` is about Hugh Glass, a rugged frontiersman who sets out to gain vengeance against men who wronged him.

The film, directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, also stars Tom Hardy, Will Poulter and Domhnall Gleeson.
