`Birdman` got the award for Best Original Screenplay, while `Gone Girl` won the trophy for Best Adapted Screenplay.
The 10th Annual Final Draft Awards were held here Thursday, reports variety.com.
The crime drama series `True Detective`, written by Nic Pizzolatto, grabbed the Best Television Drama prize, and Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady of `The Big Bang Theory` took home the trophy for Best Television Comedy.
Hosts of the ceremony - actor Thomas Lennon and screenwriter Robert Ben Garant - presented the Hall of Fame award to screenwriters Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The duo have penned scripts for films like `Big Eyes`, `The People vs. Larry Flynt` and `Ed Wood".
