To boost Covid vaccination throughout the state, the city of Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh has determined that government employees would not be paid unless they have been vaccinated.
District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh has issued an oral order of "no vaccine, no salary," according to Charchit Gaur, the Chief Development Officer.
According to the directive, if an employee refuses to take the Covid vaccination, the department would take action and cease paying them for the month of May.
He claimed the district finance officer and other department heads had been given instructions to carry out the directive, including making a list and ensuring immunization. Employees are attempting to get themselves vaccinated out of fear of losing their jobs.
The government of Uttar Pradesh is taking several efforts to accelerate the vaccination campaign and put a stop to the COVID-19 outbreak.
