But with some unexpected twists taking place on Thursday, this fact has once again got proved that Salman and trouble are still the primary kin.
If reports pertaining to this infamous case, which dates back to 2002 are to be believed then they suggest that on Thursday a not so pleasing news (obviously for Salman) has surfaced in the buzz arena.
As per reports soon after culmination of final argument of the case, and judiciary's announcing May 6th as the final verdict day, social activist Abha Singh has approached the court alleging "perjury by the police' in the case and has even raised doubts about the integrity of prosecution.
While arguing her application, Abha Singh questioned that why cops and prosecution dropped the name of Salman's friend singer Kamaal Khan from the list of key witnesses.
Here it is pertinent to mention that, on the fateful night of 2002, Kamaal was travelling in the same car which mowed down five people, killing one and injuring for others.
In her application Abha claimed that, Kamaal while recording his statement before the police on October 4, 2002 deposed that Salman was driving the vehicle at the time of accident and his bodyguard Ravindra Patil was sitting in the adjacent seat, while he (Kamaal) was sitting behind Salman. As per Singh's allegation initially Kamaal's name was there in the list of key eye witnesses, but eventually it was dropped because of the reasons best known to the police.
Extending her allegations, Abha Singh further alleged that throughout the trial cops and prosecution were hand in glove with the accused. In her application she also pleaded to the court that police should be tried for perjury for producing wrong doctors before the trial court, thereby delaying the trial by three years.
Now with this recent unexpected twist emerging out of blues, it will be interesting to see that now what judiciary decided for Salman on May 6th, when it will have to take a decision on this issue also, while pronouncing its final verdict.
