Aishwarya Rai has endorsed several products in the past like Longines watches, De Beers jewellery, L'Oreal beauty products and Nakshatra diamonds and now can be seen promoting Coca Cola. Reportedly, the ad is being televised in all leading TV channels.
The credit of conceiving the ad goes to ad veteran Prasoon Joshi of McCann Erickson who visualized it as showcasing purposeful action and a self-empowered point of view in today's youth. This ad is brought to life by Abhijit Chaudhuri of Black Magic Productions.
The campaign ad features Aishwarya in a totally unglamourous role but she sweeps the audience off their feet with her attitude, wit, and humour. Vikas Gupta, vice-president marketing, Coca-Cola India, told a leading newspaper, "It's this attitude — the new found confidence of the Indian youth that the Coca-Cola brand campaign encapsulates."
A satisfied Prasoon Joshi is reported to have expressed elation for having used Aishwarya in this role. "I've taken the glamour quotient out of her persona, and utilised her acting abilities to communicate," he told in an interview.
Aishwarya manages to look pretty, even in simple attire and proves to the world that her beauty is unparalleled.
