The decision has come soon after the decision of lower court that sentenced him to five years in jail for a hit and run accident that killed one man in 2002. Salman was sentenced under Section 304 A of the Indian Penal Code (rash and negligent driving); 279 (rash driving); 337 (causing minor injuries); 338 (causing major injuries) 427 (negligence).Along with Sections 34 (a), (b) read with 181 (driving vehicle in contravention of rules); 185 (driving at great speed after consuming alcohol) of Motor Vehicle Act.
Reports further suggest that the High Court has taken this decision of granting him the bail, keeping in view the work procedure of lower court because of which it will take at least two days to deliver certified copy of the verdict. Since, the lower court is taking time, High Court cannot decide on bail application. Hence, an interim bail has been granted to the actor. Now after this recent development where a temporary relief has come to Salman’s way it will be interesting to see that what follows next for the Sallu Bhaaijaan?
