Actress Huma Qureshi, who made her acting debut with critically acclaimed crime drama "Gangs of Wasseypur", believes that one should challenge oneself everyday and do something new.

"I think today cinema is changing. I like doing interesting things. As an actor, I believe you should do things that challenge you. I always look for a new challenge," she told IANS while unveiling a collection of diamond jewellery designed by SRS Jewells crafted with diamond brand Forevermark here on Friday.

"If I have to do the same thing every day then I would go to work in a bank and not be an actor. Being an actor means that every single day you go out there you do something interesting, and new," she added.

The 28-year-old had started out with theatre and shared that "whatever little I know of acting is because of my roots in theatre," but at the same time she "loves cinema."

Why wait for a boy to buy you jewellery

Actress Huma Qureshi feels that every girl should gift jewellery to herself and and not wait for a man to buy it for her.

The "Gangs of Wasseypur" actress unveiled a collection of diamond jewellery designed by SRS Jewells crafted with diamond brand Forevermark here on Friday.

"Buying a diamond for that special girl in your life, goes a long way. In fact every girl should buy some jewellery for herself, why wait for some guy to gift you something," Huma said during the launch of the collection.

When it comes to her personal favourite, the 28-year-old likes "chunky pieces and big solitaire".

"I like jewellery that catches your eye and of course my mother's jewellery is my personal favourite," she said.

Sachin Jain, president of Forevermark India, felt "honoured to introduce" the latest line.

"We aim to provide each customer with a unique and warm experience...," he said.
