Of the many people who had dropped by at Galaxy apartment recently to express solidarity with the Khan family, there was a lady who had given Salman some of his earliest breaks in advertising. Salman loyalist Kavita Advani, or Addu as she is known to her many friends, still vouches for her "discovery" who featured in some of the ads she created while at Lintas. One of them was for a nightclub called Saturday's, at Ramada hotel in south Goa, owned by Haresh and Nina Advani.
Addu was also the one who signed up for his first commercial for a cola brand. All this and more in the memoir that she is penning, which has a foreword by Prahlad Kakkar already. After a recent health scare, Advani struggles to type, but she remains as spirited as ever, recounting every little spicy anecdote from her 33 years in advertising. We believe everyone from Alyque Padamsee and Sharon Prabhakar to Sonali Bendre, Prahlad Kakar, Aarti and Kailash Surendranath, R Balki and Rahul Da Cunha make an appearance in her book, which has been in the making for a year now. We are waiting for this quintessential Bandra girl's juicy tell-all.
