A local court has issued summons to bollywood actor Sunny Deol in a cheque bouncing case asking him to appear on September 28 to respond to the allegations of non-payment of Rs 25 lakh to a travel agency.

The summon was issued yesterday by a magistrate which heard a complaint filed by Bonik Travels, a travel agency located in Cuffe Parade area of South Mumbai.

The agency filed the complaint alleging that Sunny had purchased tickets for travelling to Delhi, Bangalore and London but had not made the payment amounting to Rs 25 lakhs.

The agency alleged that the actor had cheated as the cheques issued by his company bounced and the payment of Rs 25 lakhs thus remained unpaid.

The court issued summons to the actor asking him to file a reply to the allegations made by the complainant. The matter has been posted for hearing on September 28.
