After big stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Mallika Sherawat, noted film director Karan Johar is the latest invitee from India to the prestigious Cannes film
festival this year, where he is scheduled to give a talk on piracy.
"Yes, I have been invited to the Cannes festival, where I have a stall for my latest film `Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna'. I have also been asked to give a talk on piracy. I am still
working on the dates and trying to match schedules," Johar told reporters on the sidelines of a credit card launch here today.
Johar, who is currently shooting for the film, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta, said he had taken the stall at Cannes to
"explore greater distribution opportunities overseas".
The director also denied that he had received any notice from a Delhi producer who claimed he was producing a movie of the same name.
"Ours is a responsible production house and we have followed all the rules. Our title is registered and there is no question of any legal issues," Johar said.
