Hubby sweeps Shilpa off her feet with The Great Gasby and Bond themed parties to bring in her 40th birthday.

Last anniversary, he booked a luxury apartment on the 19th floor of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Naturally, after all these extravagant declarations of love, everyone was waiting to see how Raj would sweep his rani off her feet when she turned 40. He did it in style, jetting down 30 friends and family members to Sveti Stefan, an island in the Balkan nation of Montenegro, for a three-day birthday bash.

Raj orchestrated everything on his own, before flying his biwi down from London and blindfolding her till she entered The Great Gatsby world. The gathering included sister Shamita Shetty, buddy Harman Baweja and R. Madhavan's wife, Sarita Birje. "Shilpa is a huge fan of illusionist Darcy Oake who made a special appearance at the stroke of midnight," says a guest, adding that the men were in tuxedoes and the women in designer gowns.

The Gatsby party was followed by an extravagant breakfast, then a barbecue party at the Queen's private beach Milocer. The birthday rounded up with a Bond themed dinner at Aman Sveti Stefan's signature restaurant which is known to be Hollywood stars Gwyneth Paltrow and George Clooney's favourite weekend getaway.

"Raj had been planning this bash for months. He picked the venue and decided the itinerary too. He got a video made of Shilpa's friends who couldn't make it to the party, sending her personalised birthday wishes," adds the source.
