So Kangana Ranaut has apparently given her nod to essay the role of the warrior queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai (1835-1858), in an upcoming biopic being planned by Ketan Mehta. But if you jog your memory, Sushmita Sen had toyed with the idea of making a film on Laxmibai way back in 2008.
The actress was keenly interested in turning producer and director with the film. Sush had also done her bit of research and field work, but the project did not take off. Now that another filmmaker has announced a biopic on the legendary queen, will Sush get her project out from the backburner?
