"Salman and Adnan have been friends for a long time now. He heard the scratch recorded by Imran Aziz Mian, son of the legendary qawwali singer Aziz Mian, but felt that Adnan's voice would do justice to the song," the insider adds.
'Bhar do jholi meri' has enjoyed decades of popularity in Sufism circles. A few months ago, a media release from Pritam read: "Salman felt if Adnan sings and acts in the video, it will be more impactful."
