To prepare for her role in her upcoming film Bajirao Mastani, Deepika Padukone underwent a 10-day training course in archery.

Initially, the production team had decided to shoot some bow-and-arrow scenes with a professional archer and merge them with DP's close-up shots. However, the actress was keen to do the stunts herself.

Action director Shyam Kaushal made arrangements for her to learn archery on the set before the shoot began. And when it was time to roll, her archery skills left beau Ranveer Singh, her co-star in the film, shell-shocked.
