Kareena Kapoor Khan has opted out of Raj Kumar Gupta's upcoming film,Section 84, reports Mumbai Mirror. The report quoted the filmmaker confirming the development, "Yes, it's a mutual decision. Things didn't work out as planned." The film deals with Section 84 of the IPC which states, "Nothing is an offence which is done by a person who, at the time of doing it, by reason of unsoundness of mind, is incapable of knowing the nature of the act, or that he is doing what is wrong or contrary to law." Kareena's character was believed to be that of a schizophrenic who finds herself at the centre of a crime. In an interview to Mirror on February 3, 2015, Gupta had said, "Yes. Section 84 is an integral part of the film and Kareena is my protagonist. It's a character with two sides. Trouble begins when she steps out of a mental asylum. The film is inspired by a real life incident. We start shooting in mid-April." The shoot was subsequently pushed to August. And now Kareena has opted out because she wasn't happy with the final script, the report stated.
