Prateik Babbar mourns the loss of his grandmother

Prateik Babbar lost his mother, film actress Smita Patil a few days after he was born in 1986. Post Smita's tragic and untimely demise, the actor was raised by his grandparents.

His grandmother Vidyatai Patil is the one who actually brought him up. He lost his grandma in March.And though it is close to four months since her demise, Prateik took to social media recently and tweeted, "Been away a while..rough times for me.. I lost my mother (grandmother).. but hope you guys are well. Getting back to normalcy is a hard nut to crack especially after loved ones are lost.. 'Especially grandparents'. Slowly but steadily.. Everything should be normal again.. but I'm still having fun.. (sic)"

The young actor added that he was doing good work. So he said, "Both my mothers should be proud up there."
