It's given that if two newcomers are being launched, the most obvious thing to assume and get circulated is that they must be dating each other. More so, if the two dote on each other visibly as much as they do. At one level, it's natural for them to fall in love because they are two good-looking young people, who during the making of the film could fall in love with the idea of falling in love with their co-star.

When I heard that Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty (the lead pair of Hero) were dating, I too easily believed it as their fondness for each other is obvious when you meet them. But rather than believe what was told to me as the obvious, I decided to ask the both of them. Excerpts:

Are you in love with Athiya Shetty?
No. I don't think so. I love her and she loves me. But dating, no. Athiya is the most craziest person I know. She's loud unlike me. She plays it very smartly. While shooting the film, she has distracted me. She would be fooling around, never doing her lines with me. But when she would come on set, she would be totally prepared, I would be the one struggling. Of course, then she would really support me in my scenes. She is an amazing actress. She is a very beautiful girl and very good with her fashion. She keeps giving me tips, which I don't follow and I don't want to follow them, it's actually not my style. She is the closest female friend I have, not girlfriend. And she has supported me a lot during my bad times. She knows a lot about my life.
