Lucky belted out his popular songs "Aa bhi ja", "Kyun chalti hai pawan" and "Ek pal ka jina" during the two-hour concert organised as part of Oxfam International's global 'Make Trade Fair Campaign' to raise awareness on farmers' woes.
Lucky asked people to make "a big noise" against the World Trade Organisation's recommendations for India by signing a petition to be submitted to President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam soon.
"Your signature can make a difference. You can make a big noise by signing up with the campaign, which is trying to give our farmers a good deal in the international trading system," Lucky said Wednesday at a press conference before the concert.
"If our farmers cannot sell what they grow because of cheap imports, how will an agriculture-based country like India survive? They feed us and we should do what we can to make sure that they earn enough to feed themselves," said Lucky, who grows rice, wheat and fruits in his farm in Bangalore.
Known for his soulful ballads, Lucky is also working on his new album "Ixsui".
