Living upto his role as the brand Ambassador of Uttar Pradesh, superstar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday said he is trying his best to persuade producers to shoot their films in Uttar Pradesh.

"We are trying to bring in more producers to shoot their films in UP. After Bunty Aur Babli, Abhishek Bachchan's Umrao Jaan is also being shot here," he said after a meeting of the UP Development Council (UPDC).

"My family and I are committed to do whatever we can for the state," he added.

However, UPDC chairman Amar Singh accused the media of creating hindrances in shooting of films in the state.

"Protests witnessed in Varanasi during the filming of Deepa Mehta's Water and problems ‘created' by media during the shooting of Bunty Aur Babli were not in the interest of the state," he alleged.
