Director Shankar's big budget "Aparichit-The Stranger" will be released in Hindi with a phenomenal number of prints, says its producer V. Ravi Chandran.
The mega-release of the film in the Hindi-speaking belt was planned right from the outset, keeping in mind the astronomical Rs.300 million budget.
The film, which is a Hindi version of the Tamil hit "Anniyan", is based on the real life story of a simple and honest person who is traumatised by certain incidents in his life
and ends up with a multiple personality disorder.
Chandran is of the opinion that if the film clicks in Hindi, it will set a precedent for other Tamil films to be released on a similar scale. "We are looking at setting new records
for the film in the Hindi-speaking belt."
