The story, written by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, is set over a span of three days and features Kunal Kemmu as Janardhan aka Johnny, who is assigned to kill Tanya (Zoa Morani) and save her at the same time. The movie also marks the debut of Iranian model Mandana Kari.
Interestingly, Kunal suggested the idea to Shivam, who debuted with the romantic filmAhista Ahistain the year 2006. The actor says, "What makes the plot unique is that the protagonist isn't seen in a double role, but leads a double life. How his journey culminates forms the crux of the movie."
Zoa, who was fascinated by the script the moment she heard it, says, "The idea ofkarma, the same person being positive and negative, intrigued me. The narrative will engage the audiences."
The popularity of party numbers like 'Daddy mummy'and'Aankhon aankhon ne', romantic tracks like'Iss qadar pyaar hai'and'Kinna sona'too has helped boost the movie. Shivam says, "Since the producers also have a music label, they helped us choose the right soundtrack. Usually, only one or two songs of an album become popular. Here, all the numbers have struck a chord with listeners."
The thriller has a good dose of action and chase sequences and the principal actors have done their own stunts. "There's a lot of fun action too as seen in Jackie Chan's films. Even when it's not serious, it's intense," says Kunal, adding that the plot unfolds in a novel way. "Though it has all the ingredients of a commercial movie, at its core it's a nice story that makes this film a must watch," he signs off.
