Bollywood hottie Sushmita Sen will travel to Pakistan in September to help cricketer Imran Khan raise funds for his cancer hospital, a news report said Friday.

The actress confessed to being a big fan of the former cricketer for long.

"I have been a big fan of his throughout his career. And now, to be invited by him, especially for something that's so close to my heart, is a great honor for me," The Times of India quoted Sen as saying.

Sen won the Miss Universe title in 1994 and has since acted in more than 25 films in Bollywood. In her latest film, "Chingari", she portrays a prostitute who fights back to avenge her humiliation and exploitation.

A meeting with Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf is also planned, the newspaper said.

Imran Khan, a former Pakistani cricketer and a politician, founded the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, a charity-based hospital in Karachi.

"It's a noble cause and I'll do whatever is within my capacity to increase cancer awareness," Sen was quoted as saying.

Pakistan and India have a history of bitter relations, but have taken steps recently to improve relations.
