Though the film turned out to be the biggest box office grosser of 2001, Karan admits that he had gone overboard as far as budget of the film goes. `K3G` cost the Johar`s a whopping 45 crore. It was a major risk the father son duo took that paid in the end. With the biggest star cast, this emotional drama rewrote history at the box office.

Now irrespective of the success of the film, Karan today feels that such big risk doesn`t always success in term of money or creative expression. That`s why; he has decided to bring in a new technique to Indian cinema, through his next film. It`s called sample viewing, or market research strategy, which will involve the audience`s opinion in the making of the film. Did n`t we say, young minds are always restless and raring to go.
