Actor and philanthropist Vivek Oberoi was recently roped in by the Maharashtra government to promote Jan Dhan Van Dhan , an initiative through which bio fuel and small scale forest products will be promoted in a big way.

Vivek always wanted to extend his support in a bigger manner will as a personal initiative start an online website for consumers to directly purchase the products online and make direct payments. By this the farmers and workers stand to directly profit since there will be no mediators or in between parties to levy various taxes or other additional costs.

The proceeds of the purchases will directly go to the small scale workers and farmers.

Says Vivek,"We have already met with a few villages to promote small scale industries and have bigger plans in the pipeline. I wanted to establish something that would go a long way in help them earn a living with better profit margins."
